Role Overview: Bar Attendant

A Bar Attendant is responsible for assisting bartenders, waiters, and waitresses in serving and clearing food and beverage orders, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining work stations and outlets in order. The role involves supporting the team to deliver the highest quality guest experience.

What will I be doing?

As a Bar Attendant, your responsibilities include serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to ensure an excellent guest and member experience. You should have extensive knowledge of menu offerings and perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage guest queries courteously and efficiently
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu and products
• Follow reporting procedures for issues
• Adhere to Hilton Grooming standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
• Assist callers courteously, take accurate messages, and pass them promptly
• Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently
• Keep equipment clean and polished
• Requisition and ensure availability of chemicals for duties
• Sanitize and keep bars spotless before completing duties
• Replenish bar supplies such as liquor, fruit, ice, and dishes
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
