Job summary

Power Plus in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain portable generators. This role may include field service, re-fueling, delivering and picking up generators, and providing technical support with some travel.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of diesel engines; generator experience is a plus. Must read wiring diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and be able to operate a forklift and a company vehicle. On-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines.
• Generator experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of major engine/generator brands.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software/tools.
• Mechanical background required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair generator fleet.
• Coordinate with operations managers to prioritize repairs.
• Order parts for repairs.
• Operate a forklift when needed.
• Assist field operations as required.
• Drive company vehicle as needed.
• On-call rotation after approval.
