Job summary

Power Plus is seeking a Diesel Technician for the US Generator Rental Division to service and maintain rental generators. The role may involve shop work and occasional travel to customer sites, with professional customer interaction and completion of inspection paperwork.

Key duties include fueling, operating, and maintaining generators, assisting installation at various sites, ordering parts, and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting, including oil and coolant services.

Qualifications

Must possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Diesel generator experience a plus.
Technical schooling in automotive/transportation fields would be a plus.
Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical theory and application.
Class A license preferred.

Responsibilities

Fuel, operate and maintain generators
Assist in the installation of rental generators at various sites, including telecommunication facilities, existing structures, and construction trailers, for example.
Order parts for repairs as needed
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of generator systems, including but not limited to performing engine oil and coolant services, servicing and priming fuel system.
