Everport Terminal Services seeks an Operations Labor Manager to oversee longshore labor, optimize productivity, and manage costs across cargo handling operations. You will enforce safety policies and coordinate with union labor to maintain efficient, compliant terminal operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage ILWU labor to maximize efficiency and control operational costs.
• Monitor labor arrivals, authorize overtime, and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, and discipline for longshore labor.
• Communicate requirements and resolve workforce-related issues proactively.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce PCMSC standards; investigate incidents.
• Attend Labor Relations Committee arbitrations as needed.
• Determine labor requirements and coordinate equipment needs with other departments.
• Direct labor allocation across vessel gangs, yard, and gate functions to maximize productivity.
• Direct union foremen and maintain safe, efficient terminal operations.
• Prepare reports on shift production, safety incidents, and labor performance.
