Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Port Operations Coordinator to support U.S. Navy port operations at Naval Station Mayport, FL.

This on-site role coordinates berthing, vessel movements, and waterfront logistics to ensure safe, efficient operations per contract requirements. You will collaborate with the Government Dockmaster, manage berthing equipment, oversee utility connections, and monitor schedules while maintaining compliance with Navy safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating vessel berthing and port operations logistics.
• Experience coordinating vessel arrivals, departures, docking, undocking, and waterfront services.
• Ability to interpret contract requirements, safety procedures and installation instructions.
• MS Office proficiency; Maximo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily vessel berthing operations, personnel, equipment, and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Serve as primary contractor liaison with Government Dockmaster for berthing activities and vessel movements.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berthing, docking, undocking, and waterfront services.
• Oversee berthing equipment setup including brows, towers, fenders, and connections.
• Coordinate shipboard utility connections (shore power, potable water) and disconnections.
• Manage port logistics, hotel services, and dockside support to meet vessel needs.
• Monitor berthing schedules, equipment availability, and waterfront conditions; drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Navy, DoD, safety, and environmental standards at Mayport boat basin and piers.
• Maintain accurate operational records, berthing schedules, and contract reports.
• Collaborate with Program Management, government reps, vessel personnel and waterfront teams to resolve issues.
• Comply with company policies and safety regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
