Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead on-site transportation operations at Naval Station Mayport, FL. You will oversee staff, vehicles, and resources to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient services aligned with contract performance objectives.

Qualified candidates have at least five years in DoD-related transportation management, supervisory experience, and familiarity with fleet maintenance, dispatch, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience managing transportation operations on Navy/DoD/BOS projects.
• Experience supervising transportation personnel.
• Knowledge of dispatching, fleet utilization, vehicle safety, maintenance coordination.
• Ability to interpret contractual requirements and applicable regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Maximo experience preferred.
• Experience with federal installations or government contracting is preferred.
• Must maintain access to government worksite.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily transportation operations, personnel, vehicles, and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Ensure performance objectives and service standards identified under Annex 1700000 BSVE are achieved.
• Plan staffing, schedules, vehicle assignments, dispatch activities, and priorities for reliable service.
• Monitor fleet availability and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and readiness.
• Track performance metrics and contractual requirements; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, installation, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and required contract documentation.
• Lead, coach, and hold personnel accountable for safety, performance, and customer service.
• Coordinate with Program Management, Government representatives, maintenance teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, reliability, safety, and service delivery.
• Adhere to company policies and contractual obligations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
