Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer to provide full-time, on-site safety oversight at Naval Station Mayport, FL. You will administer the Accident Prevention Plan and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA standards, and contract-specific safety requirements.

The role requires coordinating with site personnel and government representatives, leading safety meetings, and maintaining documentation.

Qualificações

• Five years of experience preparing and enforcing safety programs on large contracts.
• Completion of a 40-hour EM 385-1-1 course and ongoing 24 hours of safety-related coursework every four years.
• Must meet EM 385-1-1 Section 1 training and qualification requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, implement, maintain, and enforce the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Contractor Safety and Health Program.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, 29 CFR 1926.16, OSHA requirements, and contract safety requirements.
• Serve as on-site SSHO and ensure qualified representatives are present when needed.
• Provide safety oversight with at least one qualified Competent Person at each project site.
• Verify Competent Persons credentials and provide documentation for acceptance.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training.
• Investigate incidents and maintain required reporting.
