TOTE Services LLC is seeking an Assistant Port Engineer to support maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of Marlin-class vessels. You will work closely with the Port Engineer in Jacksonville, assisting with planning, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance across machinery and vessel systems.

The role involves hands-on field work, warehouse coordination, and liaison with vendors and regulatory bodies to ensure safe and efficient vessel performance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, Naval/Marine Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance practices, port engineering functions, and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with marine industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Aufgaben

• Assist Port Engineer with planning and overseeing maintenance and repair activities for vessels.
• Ensure vessel work complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Develop, execute, and improve preventive maintenance programs for machinery, equipment and vessel systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to minimise downtime.
• Conduct routine vessel inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety risks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with internal teams, regulatory authorities, shipyards, and external vendors to schedule repairs and services.
• Assist in managing budgets for maintenance projects, spare parts, and repair activities.
• Support procurement with technical input and vendor performance monitoring.
• Source parts and track orders with procurement and logistics partners.
• Collaborate with operations to streamline warehouse processes and support vessel needs.
• Attend vessels during port calls in Jacksonville to support maintenance activities.
• Participate in periodic ship rides to gain operational familiarity with vessel systems.
