Job summary

Broward County is seeking a Construction Project Management Supervisor to lead the design and management of port-area construction projects. You will oversee contractors, review designs for code compliance, and coordinate with County agencies to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

Minimum qualifications include a relevant bachelor's degree and six years of professional experience, with at least four years in PM and staff supervision. Licensure as PE/Architect and TWIC access are assets.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture/engineering or closely related field; master's preferred.
• Six years in professional architectural/engineering work with four in PM and staff supervision.
• Licensure as PE or Architect; TWIC and port-security badges may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractors and consultants; negotiate contracts, amendments, change orders and work authorizations.
• Coordinate with County agencies and stakeholders for project approvals and funding.
• Supervise project managers and technicians; review plans, calculations, pay apps and invoices.
• Oversee bidding, contract development, and procurement for construction projects.
• Lead meetings with contractors to review progress and approve payments.
• Establish quality control programs and standard project management procedures.
