Job summary

Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei, Hawaii, is seeking a friendly Pool Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool area for guests. You will assist with towels, chairs, amenities, and occasional bicycle & pickleball rentals while ensuring excellent guest service.

Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, with outdoor work comfort and the ability to follow safety protocols; CPR/First Aid is a plus and weekend/holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, recreation, or pool maintenance is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide towels, lounge chairs, and amenities.
• Assist with Bicycle & Pickleball rentals.
• Monitor pool area for cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Set up and break down pool furniture, umbrellas, and supplies daily.
• Remove used towels, trash, and debris; sanitize high-touch areas.
• Restock towels and guest supplies (sunscreen, water, magazines).
• Enforce pool rules and hotel policies for guest safety and enjoyment.
• Report maintenance issues or guest concerns to management.
• Check umbrellas nightly to ensure they are secured.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, food/beverage, or activities.
• Assist with special poolside events or activities as scheduled.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Desk as needed.
• Cover Bellman duties during breaks or absences as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
