Job summary

Makena Golf & Beach Club on Maui seeks enthusiastic guest service professionals to greet guests, manage beach/pool operations, and assist members with information and amenities. You’ll maintain safety, cleanliness, and order while delivering exceptional service in a resort setting.

The role requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities for career development within Discovery Land Company’s premium properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest service industry; CPR certification a plus.
• Hospitality experience preferred but not required; ability to work flexible hours incl. weekends.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication & interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required.
• Team player with ability to stay calm during busy times; English reading/writing/speaking required; other languages preferred.
• Physically able to stand, walk, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival at the beach and pool deck.
• Set up beach and pool area; provide towels, ice water, and snacks.
• Provide information about the Club, events, island, and water activities.
• Assist guests with questions and requests; report incidents to Security/Manager.
• Sell or provide equipment such as snorkels and standup paddles.
• Maintain cleanliness of beach/pool area and transport equipment as needed.
• Prepare areas for guest arrivals and pre-reserved cabanas.
• Restock towels and amenities; close beach and pool area as scheduled.
