Description

Sea Colony Recreational, located in Bethany Beach, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Pool Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilitiesof the Lifeguard:

• Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
• Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
• Enforces the rules of conduct.
• Performs pool maintenance to include checking chemicals and pool vacuuming.
• Checks the first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely fashion.
• Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests pool-side games.
• Skims bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool for daily use, empties automatic skimmer.
• Cleans up and organizespool area at the end of the day.
• Maintains all necessary records determined by the department manager.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Minimum Qualifications for the Lifeguard:

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Employees will be required to have their American Red Cross Lifeguard certification by their first day of work.
• Must be able to complete an interview and a swim test consisting of a 400yrd freestyle swim.

Other Qualifications:

Regular and reliable attendance.

Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.

Eligibility Requirements:

H-2B visas are not eligible for this position. International J-1 applicants must be currently enrolled as students.
