Job summary

Neal Communities’ Waterscapes Pools & Spas division is seeking a Pool Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, complete quantity takeoffs, and monitor budgets across each construction phase. You will support material purchases, partner selections, and cost control within established budgets to ensure quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years in residential estimating or related fields, proficiency with Excel, and familiarity with ERP/estimating software such as Newstar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in residential construction estimating, purchasing, construction operations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Newstar (or similar ERP/estimating software) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and cost analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and accurate quantity takeoffs for assigned plans; establish and monitor budgets for each phase of construction; identify cost-saving techniques, materials, and procedures that maintain required quality standards.
• Perform requested cost comparisons and analyses, and update the pricing file to keep cost information accurate and current.
• Monitor budgets, estimate the cost and impact of changes, and update applicable budgets and cost information accordingly.
• Enter required estimating, purchasing, and cost information into Newstar accurately and promptly.
