Job summary

1 Hotel Austin, L.L.C. is seeking a diligent Busser/Food Runner to support our luxury hospitality team at the Austin pool and dining venues. You will reset tables, stock service stations, and ensure a welcoming environment for guests throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.

The role requires strong English communication, reliable teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with flexible weekend/holiday availability. Training provided for safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous busser or food runner experience preferred in a luxury hospitality, resort, or pool environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist servers by maintaining cleanliness, resetting tables, and stocking service stations.
  • Prepare poolside tables and lounge dining areas before service with proper place settings.
  • Set and maintain table settings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including condiments.
  • Stock and replenish all service stations with silverware, glassware, plates, and napkins.
  • Maintain assigned service areas with prompt water service and teamwork support.
  • Clear tables between courses and after guest departures.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables, chairs, and poolside areas per standards.
  • Polish and store silverware, glassware, and service equipment.
  • Complete opening, side work, and closing duties including pool stations and storage areas.
  • Remove dirty linens, dispose of trash, and maintain cleanliness in guest-facing areas.
  • Assist with setup/breakdown of events, cabanas, and poolside functions.
  • Adhere to safety policies and food handling standards.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and team briefings.
  • Maintain uniform, grooming, and appearance standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Assist servers by maintaining cleanliness, resetting tables, stocking service stations, and ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment.
  • Prepare all poolside tables and lounge dining areas before service, ensuring place settings are properly arranged and presentation standards are met.
  • Set and maintain appropriate table settings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, including condiments and utensils.
  • Stock and replenish all service stations throughout the shift (silverware, glassware, plates, napkins, and service supplies).
  • Maintain assigned service areas, ensuring prompt water service and assisting teammates.
  • Clear tables efficiently between courses and upon guest departure, removing dishes, glassware, and linens.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables, chairs, and poolside dining areas according to company standards.
  • Polish and properly store silverware, glassware, and service equipment.
  • Complete all assigned opening, side work, and closing duties, including organization and cleanliness of pool service stations, storage areas, and server stations.
  • Remove dirty linens, dispose of trash appropriately, and maintain cleanliness in all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events, cabanas, and poolside functions as needed.
  • Practice the highest regard for safety, follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling standards.
  • Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings and team briefings.
  • Maintain strict uniform, grooming, and appearance standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
