Pay Range

Base pay range

$13.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Position Overview

WE ARE HIRING POOL MONITORS! We seek personable and responsible individuals to maintain a safe, clean pool environment while delivering excellent customer service. Candidates should be able to engage with people of all ages, exercise good judgment, follow instructions, and handle stressful situations calmly.

Key Responsibilities (may vary by location):

• Greet patrons and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Check for pool passes and refuse entry to unauthorized guests.
• Enforce community pool rules and safety guidelines.
• Maintain incident and daily operation logs.
• Enforce social distancing in accordance with pool rules.
• Keep the pool area clean and organized, including skimming debris, wiping tables, lowering umbrellas, straightening chairs, emptying trash, and tidying bathrooms.

Work Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a pool attendant, cleaner, or lifeguard is preferred but not mandatory.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius.
• Ability to remain calm and effectively handle emergencies or confrontations.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, stretch, and tolerate sun exposure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to work weekends and summer holidays.
• Ability to manage conflict and stress.
• Preferred backgrounds include teachers, retirees, and college students seeking summer employment.

Work Schedule

• Able to work 4-5 days per week.
• Shifts typically between 11 AM – 9 PM on weekdays and weekends.
• Flexible hours from May through September.
• Shift timings may vary.

Additional Notes

Applicants must be available for major summer holidays, including Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
