Job summary

Flanigan's in Florida is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests at arrival and assist with seating. You will guide guests to tables, manage the wait list, and respond to inquiries with a welcoming attitude.

Duties include keeping the foyer and station tidy, and assisting with opening/closing tasks as needed. Responsibilities also cover answering phone calls, addressing guest questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience from entry to departure.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program per statute.
• Complete and pass food safety certification per statute.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter and say goodbye as they leave.
• Escort guests to tables and manage seating flow.
• Maintain cleanliness of foyer, host/hostess station and wait area.
• Manage wait list efficiently and communicate with Manager on duty.
• Answer phone within 4 rings and direct guests to staff.

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
