Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to deliver comprehensive sleep disorder evaluation and treatment. You will work under clinical supervision, educate patients about sleep health, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across sleep and pulmonary services.

The role requires a BRPT-certified RPSGT, BLS, and 6+ months of sleep lab experience, with a focus on patient safety, data accuracy, and quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RPSGT certification required from BRPT.
• Certified Sleep Educator or credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• 6+ months of sleep lab experience; 1+ year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information to determine testing parameters.
• Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment; apply electrodes and sensors.
• Perform polysomnographic procedures and data acquisition.
• Score sleep stages and clinical events according to protocols.
• Provide patient education on sleep disorders and treatment.
• Schedule studies and coordinate with external providers and DME vendors.
• Maintain documentation and data accuracy in the system.
