Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a polysomnography program (≥1 year) or 6+ months as a Polysomnographic Trainee with proficiency.
Board-certified Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
Certified Sleep Educator or eligible and/or Credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
BLS certification from American Heart Association.
6+ months of experience in a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs and determine testing parameters.
Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and apply electrodes/sensors as required.
Conduct polysomnographic procedures and monitor study data to ensure quality and safety.
Score sleep stages and clinical events; generate accurate reports.
Assist with service management, safety, infection control, and equipment care.
Coordinate appointments with external providers and internal departments; manage documentation.
Maintain databases and communicate with vendors and insurance entities.
Educate patients about sleep study processes and home sleep testing.
Document outcomes and ensure all studies are completed as scheduled.
