Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a polysomnographic professional to conduct and score sleep studies in a collaborative sleep lab setting in Houston, Texas. You will gather patient information, prepare equipment, apply sensors, and document findings to ensure accurate data collection for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Requirements include a polysomnography program of at least one year or equivalent trainee experience, RPSGT certification or eligibility, and BLS with 6+

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Polysomnography program of at least one year or equivalent Trainee experience.
• RPSGT certification required or eligible for certification.
• Certified Sleep Educator or eligible and/or Credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification required.
• 6+ months of sleep lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information to determine testing parameters.
• Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment for sleep studies.
• Apply electrodes and sensors per published standards.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per center protocols.
• Document observations and ensure data integrity for reporting.
