Qualifications

• Nationally recognized Polysomnographer program of no less than one year duration.
• Must be registry-eligible or registered with BRPT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification preferred at hire or within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information by reviewing physician orders for specific tests.
• Greets patient and assists with completing questionnaires.
• Explains pretesting, testing and post-testing procedures to patients.
• Prepares room and equipment and verifies proper function.
• Applies electrodes and sensors according to guidelines.
• Performs sleep study and monitors PSG channels throughout the study.
• Transfers sleep studies to the server and processes billing charges.
