Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform diagnostic sleep testing with supervision by the Center for Sleep Disorders Director. Responsibilities include equipment calibration, recording setup, data documentation, and troubleshooting of polysomnographic data.

The role also entails oversight and education of PSG staff and students, participation in performance improvement initiatives, and maintaining patient care through careful assessment and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification or Registered preferred.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules.
• Non-registered technologists and technicians must complete the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate polysomnographic equipment for testing.
• Perform and document polysomnographic recordings and troubleshooting.
• Oversee education and training of PSG technologists and students during shifts.
• Assist with performance improvement programs and new program development.
