Job summary

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform sleep studies, EEG-related tasks, and patient education under clinical direction. You will conduct testing, calibrations, and data reporting, with a 36-hour weekly schedule, evening shift, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates with 1+ year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Polysomnography or Respiratory Care or polysomnography program.
• Must be registered by ABSM, NBRC or BRPT or eligible to sit.
• BLS must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to determine testing procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer inquiries.
• Document and maintain medical records; prepare records for physician review.
• Prepare equipment, calibrate signals, fit PAP masks, and follow testing protocols.
• Score sleep stages and clinical events; generate accurate reports.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
• Oversee tests related to sleep and EEG per guidelines.
