Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring for an R&D Technician (Polymer Materials), a 12-month contract role in Midland, MI. Primary Location: Midland, MI 48640. On-site role with work hours 7:30am–4:30pm. Pay rate: $35/hr. This position focuses on material characterization, data collection, and collaborative lab work.

The role requires a BS in engineering/science and polymer formulation experience, plus strong data handling and English fluency. Benefits are offered by Kelly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
• Formulation experience in polymer composites preferred.
• Proficient in data acquisition and data management.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate benchtop test equipment to characterize material properties and reliability.
• Learn quickly to perform a wide range of tests.
• Own contributions and meet deadlines while collaborating with team.
• Troubleshoot and improve testing methods and equipment.
• Prepare samples and handle hardware modifications as needed.
• Collect and summarize test data for reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a lab setting.
• Maintain lab, label samples, and calibrate equipment.
