Job summary

FloridaCommerce's Division of Workforce Services seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to develop policy guidance for Welfare Transition and SNAP Employment Training. You will work with Local Workforce Development Boards across Florida, conducting analysis and drafting clear program directives.

The role provides training, technical assistance, and ongoing compliance support, with a high degree of independence. A strong writing background and experience with workforce programs are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience researching federal and state statutes, regulations and governing authorities for a state or federal-funded program.
• At least 2 years of experience providing training and technical assistance for a state or federal-funded program.
• At least 2 years of experience working with workforce programs.
• Professional writing experience.
• FCCM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and draft policy guidance for Welfare Transition and SNAP Employment Training.

• Ensure program compliance and operational support.
