Nava is at the forefront of reimagining how government serves its people, and we’re looking for a Policy Strategist to help us increase our impact within government. You will translate policy into decisions, tradeoffs, and actionable direction across product, design, and engineering to ensure compliant, effective systems.

You will analyze Medicaid policy, independently research federal and state requirements, and develop concrete recommendations that improve service experiences and outcomes for

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of policy analysis experience or equivalent graduate-level training.
• Ability to research and interpret policy using statutes, regulations, or agency guidance.
• Strong relationship-building with internal teams and external partners.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision and strong written/verbal communication.
• Understanding of public programs at multiple government levels.

Responsabilités

• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences with cross-functional teams.
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and edge cases and propose compliant solutions.
• Create artifacts to support decision-making and prioritization.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation, including scenarios and edge cases.
• Conduct landscape research and translate findings into implementation implications.
• Communicate research clearly to diverse internal and external audiences.
• Build relationships with external partners to share Nava’s policy expertise.
• Contribute to advocacy strategy development and execution.
