Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Policy & Procedures Specialist to develop and implement policies for operational functions across Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. You will research, document, and improve policy materials, support frontline teams, and contribute to training and system enhancements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 2+ years in policy/tools programs, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software tools, policy & procedures programs, or airline ops.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to develop and articulate efficient procedures for frontline functions.
• Ability to analyze complex issues related to ground operations.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, document, and implement policies and procedures for assigned function.
• Develop, edit, and approve training curriculum and instructional materials.
• Create, maintain, and ensure accuracy of department manuals and documents.
• Analyze policy effectiveness and recommend changes.
• Lead selection of training products.
• Collaborate across divisions to develop new technology and processes.
• Support frontline staff by interpreting policy and answering inquiries.
• Input policy enhancements to frontline business systems.
• Lead Safety Risk Assessments and implement policy changes.
