Job summary

Civicworks seeks a Legislative Liaison (Administrator II) to support the Office of Government and Legislative Affairs within the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. You will coordinate legislative activities, track regulations, manage bills, and submit testimony.

The role also handles constituent casework, schedules meetings with stakeholders, and prepares mandated legislative reports, serving as a liaison to the Police Standards and Correctional Training Commission

Qualifications

• Five years of administrative staff or professional work experience
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Experience in public policy, legislative research, or legislative processes (preferred)
• Ability to review and analyze legislation (preferred)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
• Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license for assigned duties

Responsibilities

• Coordinate legislative activities and regulations tracking
• Manage bill tracking and testimony submission
• Handle constituent casework and schedule meetings with stakeholders
• Produce mandated legislative reports
• Liaise with Maryland Police Standards and Correctional Training Commission and Maryland Commission on Correctional Standards
