Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Government Relations Intern for a 10-week program. You will support the Government Relations team with research, analysis, and communications related to public policy and government affairs.

You will monitor government activity, prepare policy briefs, briefs, and meeting materials, and engage with stakeholders. Applicants must be undergraduates enrolled in related fields and prepared to contribute to cross-functional government relations

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited university.
• Preferred majors: Political Science, Public Policy, Government, International Relations, Business, Economics, or Communications.
• Strong research, communication, and analytical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to the company and its industry.
• Monitor congressional, executive, agency, and other government activities and summarize key developments for the team.
• Research and organize information related to government stakeholders, policymakers, agencies, industry organizations, and other relevant groups.
• Assist with tracking and analyzing proposed legislation, regulations, policies, and other government actions.
• Support the development of policy briefs, issue summaries, presentations, internal readouts, and other government relations materials.
• Attend hearings, briefings, and policy events and prepare concise summaries and key takeaways.
• Assist with preparation for meetings, briefings, and other government relations engagements.
