Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Washington, DC is seeking a Government Relations intern for a 10-week immersive program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Demonstrated interest in government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or related areas.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel for orientation, kickoff, and final presentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to the company and its industry.
• Monitor government activities and summarize key developments.
• Research and organize information related to government stakeholders and policymakers.
• Assist with tracking and analyzing proposed legislation, regulations, and policies.
• Support creation of policy briefs, issue summaries, and presentations.
• Attend hearings and meetings and prepare concise summaries and key takeaways.
• Prepare meeting materials, talking points, and background materials.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support cross-functional government relations initiatives.
• Complete assigned projects within established timelines.
