Job summary

HII in Arlington, VA invites students to join the Government Affairs Summer Internship for at least 10 weeks, supporting the GCR team in policy analysis, legislative affairs, and political affairs.

You'll conduct research on defense-related legislation, attend hearings and think tanks, and assist with PAC recruitment while preparing presentations.

This paid internship requires a 40-hour week and offers exposure to corporate operations across business, IT, finance, and legal domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in a relevant degreed program (Business, Management, Accounting, Economics/Finance, IT, Communications, Marketing, English, HR).
• Currently attending a 4-year college or university or enrolled in a relevant Master's program.
• Able to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Support Government and Customer Relations (GCR) team in the Washington, DC office through assignments related to policy analysis, legislative affairs, and political affairs.
• Conduct research on legislative bills and activity related to defense issues.
• Attend congressional hearings and think tank events focused on national security and provide summary reports.
• Assist with Political Action Committee (PAC) recruitment and operational projects.
• Create key presentations and manage assignments in support of GCR's mission and annual deliverables.
