Job description

Responsibilities:
  1. Subject Matter Expert of financial crime compliance including risks, controls, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Manage committee meeting agendas, notes, submissions, and action plans.
  3. Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to prepare internal reports and presentation materials for senior management, including C-suite, across various levels of detail.
  4. Assist with policy and procedure development and maintenance.
  5. Participate in special projects assigned by the CCO office.
  6. Critically evaluate processes and controls to identify, document, and assess compliance risks related to Binance's activities, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while providing advice and challenge as necessary.
  7. Assess the FCC risk profile and its impact on internal projects, policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of progressive experience in compliance or financial crime compliance.
  2. Experience or knowledge of the digital currency industry.
  3. Legal accreditation or related legal experience is an asset.
  4. ACAMS or ACFCS certification is an asset.
  5. Strong writing skills and experience working with policies, governance oversight, and assessment of financial crime legislation in a compliance setting.
  6. Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
  7. Experience in traditional financial institutions, including banking processes, procedures, systems, and controls.
  8. High energy, motivated, with the ability to multitask.
  9. Fluent in English, both written and oral; additional languages are an asset.
  10. Strong analytical skills, capable of simplifying complex subjects and demonstrating sound judgment.
  11. Effective communicator with stakeholder management experience.
  12. This is a remote role requiring a confident self-starter, results-driven, and able to work independently.
