Job description

Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst

SUMMARY

The Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst is responsible for facilitating all new and renewal vendor requests. The role involves collaborating with corporate team members to review vendor applications and providing guidance to leaders and responsible parties for vendor contracts. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

This is a remote position with working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering flexibility to support PST, CST, and EST time zones when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review vendor submissions for completeness and gather necessary information to complete the review process.
  • Address vendor submission concerns across departments, follow up for additional details, and coordinate meetings with vendor coordinators.
  • Determine requirements and manage vendor process software, including adding questions and resolving process issues.
  • Identify critical delays and recommend effective solutions.
  • Seek opportunities to improve processes and policies.
  • Expedite vendor agreements that meet set criteria.
  • Collaborate with vendor coordinators and other stakeholders to improve processes.
  • Create documentation to support system processes and provide training to relevant departments.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts within business and corporate teams effectively.
  • Audit process requirements and execution for compliance and efficiency.
  • Perform all duties in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience, including project management.
  • At least two (2) years of vendor management experience.
  • Interest or background in law or compliance.
  • Familiarity with Alliant Business Units or willingness to learn.

SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and team-building abilities.
  • Understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Ability to develop, modify, and manage a Vendor Management Program.
  • Effective interface with internal and external executives.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
