Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst

SUMMARY

The Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst is responsible for facilitating all new and renewal vendor requests. This role involves collaborating with all corporate team members involved in reviewing vendor applications and providing guidance to leaders and those responsible for vendor contracts. The analyst performs all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

This is a remote role with working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility to support PST, CST, and EST hours as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review all vendor submissions for completeness and gather necessary information to complete the process.
  • Address vendor submission concerns across departments, follow up for additional information, and schedule meetings as needed.
  • Determine requirements and manage vendor process software, including adding questions and resolving process issues.
  • Identify delays in the process and recommend solutions to resolve issues effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and policies.
  • Expedite vendor agreements that meet established criteria.
  • Collaborate with vendor coordinators and other stakeholders to improve processes.
  • Design documentation to support system processes and provide training to relevant departments.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts within business and corporate teams.
  • Audit process requirements and execution for compliance and efficiency.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of related work experience, including project management.
  • Two (2) or more years of vendor management experience.
  • Interest or background in law or compliance.
  • Familiarity with Alliant Business Units or willingness to learn.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to understand business processes and systems.
  • Capability to develop, modify, and manage a Vendor Management Program.
  • Ability to interface effectively with executives and stakeholders.
  • Advanced planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
