Job description

Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst

SUMMARY

The Vendor Compliance and Governance Analyst is responsible for facilitating all new and renewal vendor requests. This role involves collaborating with corporate team members involved in reviewing vendor applications and providing guidance to leaders and those responsible for vendor contracts. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

This is a remote role with working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with flexibility to support PST, CST, and EST hours as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review all vendor submissions for completeness and gather necessary information.
  2. Address vendor submission concerns across departments, follow up for additional information, and schedule meetings with vendor coordinators.
  3. Determine requirements and manage vendor process software, including updating questions and resolving issues.
  4. Identify delays in the process and recommend solutions.
  5. Identify opportunities for process and policy improvements.
  6. Expedite vendor agreements that meet specified criteria.
  7. Collaborate with vendor coordinators and other stakeholders on process improvements.
  8. Design documentation to support system processes and provide training as needed.
  9. Assist in resolving conflicts with business and corporate team members.
  10. Audit process requirements and execution.
  11. Ensure all duties comply with company policies and applicable laws.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of related work experience, including project management.
  • At least two years of vendor management experience.
  • Interest in law or compliance.
  • Familiarity with Alliant Business Units or willingness to learn.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and team-building abilities.
  • Understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Ability to develop, modify, and manage a Vendor Management Program.
