Job summary

The Office of the State Auditor in North Carolina is seeking a skeptical, innovative analyst to support public policy evaluation and independent audits within the Division of Accountability, Value, and Efficiency. This exempt, at-will role creates greater transparency and accountability in state government.

You will participate in audit planning, analyze program data, and develop findings with context and visuals for decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 accounting hours and 2 years in auditing/accounting or program evaluation, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in auditee planning to discuss scope and findings.
• Understand entities and programs audited by the DAVE Division.
• Develop report findings with context, data analysis, and visuals.
• Review data and records to draw insights for senior team members.
