Job summary

The City of Westfield, Indiana is seeking a Police Wellness Coordinator to develop and oversee a comprehensive wellness program for police personnel and their families. This civilian role focuses on physical fitness, mental health, stress management, and suicide prevention through holistic services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• Minimum Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, health promotion, public health, etc.
• Minimum three years experience in wellness program management, peer support, or critical incident stress management in a law enforcement or public safety setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the Wellness Program for Department personnel and their families.
• Coordinate mental health, behavioral health, and physical wellness initiatives.
• Organize fitness activities and provide nutrition guidance.
• Lead training sessions on wellness topics and post-incident support.
• Maintain confidential records and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
