Job summary

The City of Peoria is seeking Police Recruit candidates to join its Police Department. You will learn operations first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities while attending the Police Academy.

Applicants must be at least 21 by academy graduation, possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, pass a background check and polygraph, obtain AZPOST certification, and hold a valid AZ Driver's License. Testing dates are listed in the posting.

You will be required to submit your AZPOST PH User ID Number prior to the testing date.Appropriate attire for the entire testing date is physical fitness attire.Physical TestThe physical test consists of the following events.1.5 mile run – 14 minutes 40 secondsPush-ups in 1 minute – 31Sit-ups in 1 minute – 34If an applicant does not pass the physical but are within 5 push-ups or sit-ups and within 2 minutes of the run, they will be allowed to take the written test.
