The Police Recruit position within the Police Department performs the following tasks:* Learn operations of the Police Department first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities.* Serve in a training capacity while attending the Police Academy.Below are the testing dates scheduled for this application period.**Physical and Written Test Date*** **Saturday, October 31, 2026 @ 7:00 am****Testing Information**Below is information about the testing process.* **You are required to visit** **https://my.azpost.gov** **to create a profile and complete the AZPOST Personal History Form. You will be required to submit your AZPOST PH User ID Number prior to the testing date.*** Appropriate attire for the entire testing date is physical fitness attire.**Physical Test*** The physical test consists of the following events. + 1.5 mile run – 14 minutes 40 seconds + Push-ups in 1 minute – 31 + Sit-ups in 1 minute – 34* If an applicant does not pass the physical but are within 5 push-ups or sit-ups and within 2 minutes of the run, they will be allowed to take the written test.
