The University of Indianapolis is looking for a dedicated Police Officer to protect students, staff, and campus visitors while enforcing laws and campus policies. Officers will patrol, respond to calls, write reports, and testify in court as part of a structured university police department.
Officers will ensure traffic safety around the campus and surrounding areas, participate in educational programs, and engage in ongoing training.
Police Officer duties focus on protecting people and property at the University of Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Officers patrol an established jurisdiction where they respond to calls, enforce laws, make arrests, issue citations, and testify in court. Officers are responsible for making traffic stops and ensuring traffic safety in and around the university. The officer’s time is divided between patrolling, writing reports, conducting educational programs, and continued training.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent
Licenses/Certifications/Credentials: A valid driver’s license that meets the University’s driving policy, must be able to successfully pass the minimum standards to attend the ILEA academy.
