University of Indianapolis police officers protect people and property across campus and surrounding areas. They patrol, respond to calls, enforce laws, write reports, and testify when required.

Police Officer duties focus on protecting people and property at the University of Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Officers patrol an established jurisdiction where they respond to calls, enforce laws, make arrests, issue citations, and testify in court. Officers are responsible for making traffic stops and ensuring traffic safety in and around the university. The officer’s time is divided between patrolling, writing reports, conducting educational programs, and continued training.
