Job summary

City of Garland is seeking a skilled IT professional to manage police applications and systems, acting as the primary administrator for evidence and records management systems while supporting up to 25 police applications.

You will install, upgrade, and maintain software and databases, troubleshoot issues, and provide end-user training in a city IT environment. A strong background in RMS, SQL reporting, and network fundamentals is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 2 years related IT experience.
• Experience administering or running SQL reports from an RMS.
• Knowledge of RMS and database software; able to support multiple police applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, update, and maintain operating systems and application software.
• Perform application installs and upgrades.
• Install database software for OnCall Record (WebRMS).
• Provide vendor with requested information from end-user or IT resources.
• Monitor and document changes as instructed by vendor.
• Identify and correct issues with applications, systems, and network devices/resources.
• Research, test, analyze and repair routine connectivity and software issues.
• Troubleshoot and isolate hardware and software problems.
• Plan, implement, and maintain network data storage/retrieval system.
• Onboard and offboard users and access from applications.
• End user support and training.
