Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Full-Service Technician to recondition, reassemble, and test pole mount transformers. You will follow instructions, gather parts, perform reconditioning, basic repairs, and quality checks to ensure customer specifications are met.

The role requires basic tools and electrical knowledge, a high school diploma, and adherence to safety policies. This is a non-exempt, physically demanding position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• Basic Knowledge of Tools
• Basic Electrical Knowledge
• OSHA10 certification preferred
• A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
• Ability to learn other department functions and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions to rebuild transformers to customer specifications.
• Gather parts and tools needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition.
• Recondition and reassemble polemount transformers including cleaning, inspecting, replacing gaskets, changing oil, basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
• Use shop equipment safely and return equipment to proper location after use.
• Operate overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
