Job summary

Read and follow work orders, gather parts and tools, perform cleaning, oil changes, basic repairs, and run basic tests before units leave the station. Preferred HS Diploma/GED, mechanical and transformer experience, OSHA10, and a proven safety record;

• Operate shop equipment safely and return it to proper location.

Description

TheFull Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing oftransformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM.

Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.

• Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
• Reconditioning and reassembly substation transformers will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
• Utilize sh op equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
• Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
  • Standing and walking for long durations
  • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
  • The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
  • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
