Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Denver is seeking a skilled transformer technician to dismantle, test, repair, and reassemble large and medium power transformers on-site and at customer locations. You will work with safety-focused teams, use specialized test equipment, and contribute to continuous equipment reliability.

The role requires practical experience with HiPot, impedance, and oil-filled transformers, strong reading of drawings, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing large or medium substation transformers.
• Knowledge of HiPot, load-loss, impedance testing.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, rewind, reassemble, test and core iron repair on transformers.
• Conduct work in-shop and on customer sites.
• Inspect, test, repair, investigate and report on transformers.
• Perform failure investigations, report findings, and recommend repairs.
• Employ test equipment for preliminary, intermediate, and final testing.
• Work safely alone and as part of a team.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
