Job summary

Landpoint, LLC is seeking a Utility GIS Technician to support pole inventory and joint-use data collection and analysis for electric utility programs. The role involves processing field data, validating measurements, and coordinating with field crews to ensure high-quality, deliverable datasets for engineering design and asset management.

You will work with Katapult Pro, ESRI Field Maps, GIS systems, and CAD tools to ensure accurate pole characteristics and attachment ownership, while supporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience processing utility data and GIS datasets.
• Experience with pole inventory or joint-use programs preferred.
• Educational background in Land Surveying or Geomatics preferred.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field data collection with field crews and distribute project instructions.
• Process field data in Katapult Pro workflows and verify measurements.
• Review pole inventory and joint-use data for accuracy and ownership details.
• Manage data within GIS platforms and CAD/mapping software as required.
• Perform quality checks and coordinate corrections with field teams.
• Support project managers to meet schedules and deliverables.
