Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. seeks a skilled welder to join our Large Pole department. The role involves building pole assemblies using Flux-Cored Arc Welding, reading drawings, and following strict procedures. You will handle parts, operate grinders, and maintain quality while meeting production targets.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and basic math, be able to read prints, and use a weld gauge. Expect an on-site role with safety and teamwork at the core of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic shop mathematics, addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication and decimals.
• Proficiency in reading complex prints and specifications.
• Must know how to properly use a weld gauge.
• Read and write.

Responsibilities

• Tack weld small components to round/form shaft assemblies using Flux-Cored Arc Welding.
• Assemble pole assemblies on the fitter station; assist material handler with parts.
• Read drawings to determine parts and locate required components from storeroom areas.
• Measure and lay out locations on round tubes or shafts per drawings; verify tolerances.
• Operate tools and wear PPE to ensure safe, quality welding and assembly.
