Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. in Sioux City, IA is seeking a skilled Welder to join our Large Pole department. You will use Flux-Cored Arc Welding and plasma/oxy-fuel torches to assemble pole components, read drawings, and ensure welds meet Sabre's quality standards.

This full-time role requires attention to detail, the ability to stand for long shifts, and readiness to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic shop math skills and ability to read measurements.
• Ability to read complex prints and specifications.
• Must know how to use a weld gauge.
• Read and write.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Read and interpret drawings to determine parts and assembly steps.
• Assemble pole assemblies at a fitter station and assist material handlers.
• Finish welds and ensure conformance to welding procedures and drawings.
• Operate plasma and oxy-fuel torches for cutting and preheating parts.
• Maintain safety and keep workspace clean and organized.
