Job summary

Downstream Casino Resort is seeking a Floor Supervisor to oversee designated gaming areas, maintain logs for chips, cards, and equipment, and ensure high standards of integrity and service.

The role requires 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in floor supervision, 3+ years in all games offered, and the ability to obtain a gaming license. Background check and drug screening are required, with on-site hours and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accountability logs for chips, cards, and gaming equipment.
  • Observe and report violations to Poker Management staff.
  • Monitor table fills/credit requests and cash/chip transactions.
  • Ensure integrity of cash, chips, and dealer-patron interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and maintain professionalism.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Is responsible for the accountability of the chips, cards, and all gaming equipment for each designated area by maintaining a proper log.
  • Shall observe and report any observed violations of the companies’ policies and procedures to the Poker Management staff.
  • Monitor, witness, and verify all Table fills/credit requests.
  • Monitor, witness, and verify cash and chip transactions between dealers and patrons and ensure they are of the highest integrity.
  • Monitor all unusual activity between Poker Personnel and patrons for collusion and relay such information to Poker Management staff.
  • Communicate all suspicious play and activity of all patrons who are participating in defrauding DCR promptly.
  • Assist in identification and notification of individuals that are causing a disturbance to the Security Department and Poker Management.
  • Attending all games protection, education, and other company directed training when it is deemed necessary by management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always, while maintaining a professional work environment with all internal and external customers.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Attending all necessary training meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a daily/weekly schedule.
  • Always act as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort and the Poker Department.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidate shall preferably have at least two (2) years’ experience as a full-time Floor Supervisor, or Dual Rate Floor Supervisor, or a combination of both.
  • The Candidate shall preferably have at least three (3) years’ experience in all games offered at DCR. .
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must deal effectively and interact well with all Guests and Employees.
  • Must have effective communication skills when dealing with other departments as it pertains to the Poker Department.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner according to DCR standards.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Demands
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, in all situations.
  • Physically mobile.
  • Respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced stressful environment.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Able to bend, reach, twist, and grip items while working at assigned table.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees.
  • Operate in a mentally and physically stressful situation.
  • The Downstream Casino Resort Adheres to all applicable Resolutions of the Quapaw Nation. Native American Preference policy does apply.
