Job summary

You will train and certify staff, manage inventory and audits, and analyze POCT data to drive improvements in patient care. Facilities include Quest send-out testing and billing coordination, with strong emphasis on collaboration and data-driven processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical laboratory technology is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Health Science preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital laboratory experience.
• Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards related to POCT (e.g., CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, DNV).
• Troubleshoot POCT equipment and coordinate calibration and maintenance.
• Train, mentor, and certify staff in POCT procedures.
• Analyze POCT data to identify trends, risks and improvements.
• Communicate with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, managers and vendors.
• Manage multiple projects, audits and training programs.
• Validate new testing methods and analyzers.
• Manage the RALS point of care middleware system.
• Manage Quest send-out testing and billing.
