Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Point of Care (POCT) Coordinator to oversee, coordinate, and continuously improve point-of-care testing across the facility.

The role ensures regulatory compliance, quality control, and competency assessments for non-laboratory staff performing POCT, collaborating with departments to deliver accurate, reliable testing per standards. The position emphasizes calibration, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with POCT vendors.

Qualifications

• POCT device operation, calibration, and maintenance required.
• Strong understanding of CLIA, CAP, TJC, and other applicable regulations for POCT.
• Ability to train and assess competency of non-laboratory clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates POCT implementation per hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and maintains quality control and QA programs for POCT, including calibration and corrective actions.
• Operates and maintains POCT analyzers with proper documentation.
